    im back!! ish..!! xD

Hmm!! so I'm back.. sorta.. ALOT has happened since my last blog! for one a.. its 2010!! a whole term + year has gone!!! lots of ups and downs, laughter and tears, old friends reconnected and new friends being made!
    1
hmm really dunno where to start.. so I guess I'll just random vent as usual..
ok. so one term gone. How did I do? CRAP! started well and according to plan, but I got re addicted to MMOs.. caught up with a lot of old friends, made a lot of new ones, had a lot of fun yes.. but it also meant that I, once again, managed to waste away a HUGE amount of time and my life!! >_< anyways that behind me now!! decided to Rage Quit gaming for REAL as a 2010 resolution!!! hope I can do it! xD
hmm staying on boring work... exams in 2 weeks.. not looking forward to it.. too much time wasted means that I am seriously under prepared.. and I also have 2 2500word essays to do.. well half way through one(planning to finish it by 2mora) but still.

OK! enough about work! lets do some religion xD hmm so my faith roller coaster ride has still been going through its usual ups and downs.. actually around 2 months ago.. I was at an extreme low point where I seriously decided.. what ever! I've had enough, seriously can't do this any more! rage quit!! >_< I guess I just wasn't feeling the love any more! xD but luckily.. I had an awesome church leader!! Scott! ^_^ he pretty much bought me back up to my feet through the process of having a lot of really interesting and much needed meetings/discussions which I truly enjoy and appreciate!! Its now become a regular thing every Tuesday! so awesome! xD hmmm also been trying to be more active at the St.johns student thing! and have been having a lot of good times! xD Oh! and ofc! decided to finally go to the hull chinese church! turned out to be the best decision ever! ^__^ The youth group there really brought back a lot of good memories of the good old cov youth group (miss u guys!!!! <3) also extremely thankful of the warm welcome they gave me! even though I am like a lil bit too old! =S
Anyways its like holidays now! back at cov! and its been good to be back at CCCC!! ^_^ semi-leading/(fail)translating was a total challenge.. but still enjoyable in its weird way! oh! and ofc its good to see my lovely mom and sista winnie and win lan again!!! ^_^
hmmm so I think I've settled down again.. and returned to my senses.... I guess its not about the people and the "religion".. at the end of the day.. its all about you and the big guy up there! Jesus is enough! ^_^

oh!! oh!! Christmas!! was AWESOME!! (as usual) had 2 hot pots, the classic MASSIVE family meal.. and ofc the boxing steak day! ^_^ aside from the food got a plenty of goodies too!!! <3 the new mix style headphones I got from WinWin!! yay!! the HUUUGE frog from Dan and Brando was quite awesome too! (and a total shock lol didn't expect such a BIG present!! sorta made me feel a lil bad >_<) XD but best present has to be the photo frame with SNSD's legs from Emma!! xD
hmmm had the 2 annual cousins and cousin's BF's Poker Nights too!! and for once! I managed to leave BOTH nights winning!! ^_^ biggest winnings went to rob though! hehe 2 awesome nights with plenty of beers, wines, juice and laughs! sorta feel sorry for brando though!! defo not his lucky year!! better luck next year!! ^_^
wakaka new year was equally AWESOME! another MASSIVE ho family meal ofc.. followed by big2, bridge, killer, mahjong.. and watching brando OWN UP guitar hero!! but Best of all is the birth of another baby girl!! grats Kenneth and Joanne! (WOHO!! I'm an Uncle of FOUR now!! ^_^)

oh! as for the music side of things.. surprisingly enough.. I'm still REALLY into R&B and generally softer music!! ofc I'm still a massive indie fan when it come to clubbing! but meh! xD
pretty much given up on recovering the music I lost when my laptop totally failed on me... but meh! I guess its time to move on! xD
current addiction is Jason Mraz's We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things album and the new JLS album ofc!!! ^_^
oh! and for once I've been the one to ask my brother for music!! ya! crazy right!! xD
ah! talking about music! me and my bro sorta sparked an extremely mini discussion into what's more important? the rhythm + tune of a song.. or the lyrics?! personally I find lyrics far FAR more important.. and my brother the opposite! xD hehe I dunno, but I just love being pulled in and captivated by lyrics!! ^_^ one song I've grown to love is Concrete by James Fauntleroy (which actually JUST came on from my current 1.78gb play list O_O miracle?) but ya! seriously go give it a listen!!
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2uzK8qqiwk

omg I've just noticed how much I've written again.. seriously.. why can't I do this for essays!! >_< hmm got a lot to say.. but I guess that enough for now.. ya.. there's a brief summary of what been going on in the messed up roller coaster life of lincoln xD

oh!! oh!! might as well add this!! I was SUPER touched by my brother today!! he got my KrispyKreme Snowman Donuts from Birmingham!!!1 so awesome right!?! it was not only covered in icing.. but also jam filled!!! O_O best donut EVER!! xD
oh! and sry for the lack of pics this blog.. and this BIG BLOCK-O-TEXT >_< sorta late and I'm a lil lazy atm xD
and a final note... I've really forgotten how much I love blogging!! hehe it is indeed a very good stress release! lol I dunno why.. but I'm feeling much happier than I was when I first started typing! xD its good to be back!! hope I can keep this up too!! ^_^

!!! I have picked up an addiction to chick flicks!!! >_<
Its crazy I know but lately I have been watching an unbelievable amount of chick flicks... and liking them!!! >_<  Im still totally in love with Across The Universe.... watched “ He’s just not that into you” TWICE yesterday.... What’s wrong with me!! Ah!! I think the lack of things to do and driven me crazy!!
hmm when I actually look into it.. It’s actually true.. Lately, due to the lack of anything to do, I’ve had WAY too much time on my hands, leading to me over thinking a lot, watching a lot of TV and Films, and spending too much time working out to the point where I can’t feel my arms anymore! >_< Strange and geeky as it may seem, I kind of want uni and studies to restart already!!!
So, got hit by reality today! Or that I consider to be reality, that is FML.com! xD
“Today, I filled out an application at WalMart after being unable to find a job in three months. I just graduated from law school. With honors. FML”
= = guessing she didn’t get high enough honours! Must work hard this year!!! >_<
Oh! So me and my cousin have officially concluded that Usain Bolt has the best job in the world. 3 hours training a day, 10-20seconds of actual “working/running” then he gets to basque in glory for the next 5 hours and eat chicken nuggets!!! Plus! He gets paid loads and is super famous too!! xD
In other news.. went back to CCCC for the first time in like 3 month!!! Was really good seeing everyone and singing again!!!  ^_^ hehe bought these really cute rabbit cake stuff from hong kong for them... the whole box was emptied within 10 seconds!!! Definitely need to get more next year round! ^_^

Hmm so I think I’m getting Hong Kong withdrawal symptoms.... always having this strange urge to go and do something! Yet there is just so little to do in UK!! >_< even going to the movies in England somehow doesn’t seem as exciting as going to the movies in Hong Kong!!! XD but ya! A little bit of Brad Pitt did cheer me up though! ^_^
    inglourious-basterds-poster
Yes! I FIANLLY went and saw Inglorious Basterds!!! Hmm I thought it was without doubt an above average film, I totally bought the whole pretending to be an old school film thing!! The way of giving a load of short stories which all link together in the end was very well done too ^_^ but what I liked most about the film was the total unpredictability of it!

(Possible spoiler warning, skip paragraph if you have not seen Inglorious Basterds or Valkyrie)
I mean in other Nazi/WW2 films no matter how good they are, and how tense it is, you already know the ending as history has it in stone. A movie which pops into mind now is Bryan Singer/Tom Cruise’s Valkyrie.
    valkyrie_movie_poster-0-0-0x0-400x630
Honestly, half way through the film I was totally backing Tom cruise and thinking this plot was actually going to succeed!! But then I remembered that History begged to differ = = . While Watching Inglorious Basterds, of course I wanted the whole plot to succeed! But a part of me was thinking about how it was ultimately going to fail! I mean I am generally pretty good at predicting storylines.. and got most of it right.. Right up until the ending!! I honestly didn’t expect it to end the way it did! And was rather impressed/shocked by it! ^_^ but ya! Inglorious Basterds = Alternative Ending?!?!? xD highly recommended film!! 8/10

Hmmm aside from watching films, gym, and chilling to music, I also had some quality time with my brother gaming again!! ^_^ really do miss gaming a little! It was fun playing counter-strike again! And good to know that my skills haven’t rusted away!! xD though.. have to control myself and make sure I don’t pick up my gaming mouse and keyboard again!!! Thinking back, I must have wasted so many years of my life trapped in a zombie-state within the world of computer games >_<

Staying on my brother... wakaka he let me dress him like a lil doll!! xD I had sooo much fun!!! xD

oh!! and he also bought me this really cool ring as a present!! ^_^ was soo touch!!!! i wubz my bro!! <3 <3 <3

In other news... Sean Kingston’s new “Tomorrow” Albums is 100% ACE!!! ^_^ aside from the hugely popular Fire Burning, I am currently in love with “Why You Wanna Go”!!  I just totally love his unique voice and style!! ^_^ The shocking thing is.... he’s also born in 1990!!! O_O how different people different lives!!! xD anyways Highly recommended album!! ^_^

    And finally...
So, a few people have asked me this question: Why do you blog?
I write as a release. I write because I enjoy it. I write because I’m not afraid or ashamed to tell the world. I write because I can.

^_^ short(er) blog today!! feeling a little tired and sick! *cough* >_<
WARNING: you might hate me after reading this blog. Sorry in advance if this blog has offened you.

So I was watching The One Show on BBC with my mom today when I saw this segment on sofa's which contained "sachets of a highly dangerous chemical, dimethyl fumarate or DMF, put in the sofas in China to stop mould growing". These sofas were causing some really agonizing injuries and skin reactions to thousands of unlucky customers. It's pretty old news, but I didn't really pay attention to it before and didn't know just how horrific the injuries sustained were! I am not pointing the finger here and am not sure as to the true reason behind the use of such chemicals; but my underlying feeling is that this is another case of selfish businessmen in the pursuit of even greater profits using these chemicals as they were cheap and did the job in preserving the lesser quality stuffing used in the sofas. I am aware that this is just my personal opinion with no supporting evidence; As far as I can tell, this might not have anything to do with the Chinese manufactory and that it was an honest mistake. However, when you actually look at it, why did I get such a gut feeling to begin with? The answer is simple; this is not, and most likely won’t be, the last case of dangerous goods coming out of china. In a country where people would go as far as to fake baby milk powder for greater profits, using dangerous chemicals in sofas no longer seems that unlikely.

I know that this problem exists worldwide and cannot be isolated to one which only exists in China. For example, the current economic crises was caused by a number of selfish bankers and companies blinded by money and profits. Maybe it is the fact that I am Chinese myself, thus being a little bias and pay more attention into problems caused by China is just a part of me.
I actually feel this is an inherit problem caused by traditional Chinese ideals. In a Chinese society, success is everything. A good father is one which is able to provide meals and material goods for his family rather than one whom shows it love and care. A successful person is always the one whom has the largest pay check and not the one who has done the most to bring love and kindness into this world. I guess it is good to know that this tradition has somewhat been watered down in newer generations. Perhaps what I’m trying to say is, I really do hope our generation can depart from the ways of those before us and change.

Sometimes, I truly do feel ashamed, embarrassed if not a little guilty in being Chinese. A country which pays little respect for human life, where anything can be exploited and justified in the name of greater profits, where the rich get richer and poor get poorer. Is money really that important?

HUGE block-o-text again! >_< sorry for the lack of pictures... internet here is just SO slow! T_T

    Summer in Hong Kong 2009
Damn... haven't blogged in quite some time again!! last few days in Hong Kong were pretty busy and hectic thus couldn't really get the time to sit down and think.. xD anyways writing this at the airport, coach etc etc... HUGE block of text again >_<
hmm so hong kong 2009 is finally over for me!! This was definitely the longest period I've spent in hong kong for some time... the trip to lautau island, fishing, roasting marshmallows and the joys of body boarding for the first time seems so vivid in the distant past, yet it had only been 2 months! perhaps i'm getting old! and my memory is starting to fail!!! that.. or there has simply been just too much going on this summer for my poor lil brain to handle! >_<
hmm lets see highlights included the unforgettable lantau trip, this trip showed me a whole different side to hong kong; With clear skies above, clear waters in the distance, an empty, clean beach in front and the wilderness of the tropic forest behind us.. it was simply breathtaking and an totally amazing feat. This, partnered with a tradition, much missed Hong Kong style BBQ as well a a night of mahjong and a classic, epic, game of hide and seek provided the perfect start to the summer.

The two boat trips was also a true experience, not only were they undoubtedly relaxing, it also brought back many memories and reminded me of how much i had missing swimming and swimming the the open ocean! Aside form this, it also proved, not only to have been a great reunions with old friends, but also one to have meet vast number of new ones! ^_^
This year also opened me to a new side of hong kong. The Nightlife. Simply amazing. honestly didn't know hong kong be host of such awesome nights out! then again.. I guess I've never really been to a proper hong kong party until this year! ^_^ on a sad note, this experience has also brought to my attention how the university of hull is simply crap. basally no one has ever heard of it!! not only do we play no host to and parties or events, we don't even have an old camp!! Mission for this year: get the "Dai P" of the hull chinese society to host at last one party next summer!!! ^_^ wish me good luck!!! I need it lol.
And! in typical Lincoln fashion, I spent a large amount of time shopping!! ^_^ this summer must have been home to the longest, most expensive shopping spree i've ever had!! thinking back on it though... i think i really did overspend.. by a lot.. and the funny thing is I cant really put my finger on where all the money went!! >_<

Finally, the trip to Vietnam provided me a great insight into the country. It's deep culture, amazing food and busy lifestyle but i guess the main lesson i was able to gain from it was that one does not need to be rich, or have a lot of possession to be truly happy.
but ya, this summer has not only been the most enjoyable in terms of leisure but has also proven to have been a great experience for me. At first i was rather reluctant to take on two mini-pupillages at two different chambers.. but as it turns out, all the counsels whom I had the honor of following all had their own distinct styles and a master in their own particular field. For example, the first counsel I followed said rather little, but yet was still able to handle 7 cases as the prosecutor at a time, the little he spoke was all to the point, nothing was wasted. absolutely zero waffle. Another, from the first chambers, had an extremely fast thinking mind, always keeping 3 steps ahead of the game, I was lucky enough to witness him during the cross examination of an witness, he would ask questions which at first seems totally off topic, but through a string of question, he was able to pull the witness into giving a series of hugely contradictory answers totally discrediting him. It was, without doubt, the most dramatic scene I had seen in a while, you can just see the witness slowly falling apart. During work at Gary Plowman's chambers, i learnt that being a barrister isn't just about putting on a good show in court! the sheer amount of paperwork, reading and background information which must be gathered for each individual case is simply unbelievable! The counsel I followed was extremely professional in his work, his skeleton submissions where so thorough that, in my view, the mind of the judge was already won before the hearing began. perhaps this is the difference between criminal and civil proceedings. The time at work also gave me a very real view into Injustice. in my view anyways. In this particular Jury case, i just feel that the Jury got it wrong, the Judge gave directions which almost made it clear that the defendant was clearly not guilty, the "victim" was clearly unreliable, and it was just a case of young kids messing around. but I guess the Jury are just laymen and have a different view... This sparked off a large thinking spree and debate with a fellow summer student as to the need for Jury trails. Are they really bringing Justice? the argument that the jury, as laymen, represents the views of a reasonable man, and the views of the general public. However, in the modern society, we often elect leaders to take up key decision making rows, for the reasons such as that they are better qualified (although not perfect), have more experience in the field and can carry out the job better than the rest. I feel that it is the same with judges, they have listened to so many cases in the past and have the law embedded in them thus they perhaps have a better view on the situation/case in hand and can make a better judgement that simple laymen. the opposing argument is, of course, that judges' judgements are clouded from previous cases and that their mind is pretty much already set after reading the case, thus are unable to as effectively isolate a specific case from the rest. But ya. are Jury trails really necessary? and are they actually bringing Justice?!

Hmmm I would be lying if I said that this holiday was all fun and joy, I have made a lot of mistakes in the summer, experienced a death of a close relative, and engaged in numerous avoidable arguments. Although i believe that it is probably best to leave these mistakes and unwanted memories in the past, I feel that is important to learn from such events, and let them shape you into a better person.

To sum up this summer... so far.... in a few words..
It was the best i've ever had. looking forward to what next year will bring!! ^_^

(spell check was helped by my awesome cousin Daisy!! ^_^)
    Dan says:
i better get credit in there somewhere!:p
    Dan says:

woo!! hectic journey back home today! when we got on the runway.. ready to take off.. there was a technical problem with the plane! (captain said it was something to do with the fuel freezing up or something)... and we had to turn back... waiting for 1hours.. it was decide the the problem cannot be fixed.. so then we had to ALL get off.. and get on a replacement plane!! anyways plane got delayed for 2 hours... but at least we got flying... next thing was.. we encountered some seriously turbulence in flight!!! the whole plane started shaking so vigorously that I literally got thrown off my seat! (not off off.. just like 2 inches up and down from it..) It was totally crazy! and so scary! I honestly can't remember the last time I was so scared. girls all around where screaming too!! and a few dude were also making weird noises of fear... xD but ya.. we survived and landed safely... with still just the 2 hours delay!
    P1020248

Our flight was VN 762 from HO Chi Minh City ^_^

hmmm happy news first!!! Vietnam was so AWESOME!!! I was totally in love with the place!! beneath the rushed, busy, hectic lifestyle is a peaceful, calm and simply beautiful country side!!!! Plus.. the food was so delicious :3 The seafood was just so fresh!! ^_^ and I loved both the traditional "broken rice" and "rare beef Pho" !!! ^_^ One thing I (re)learnt/realized from Vietnam is that you seriously don't have to be rich to be happy. personally I really enjoyed the other, poorer side of Ho Chi Minh city.. the people there where not only far more friendly, but seems to carry true happiness in their hearts and are content with the little they have..
    P1010284
sorry for using the same picture again.. but I just think this summarizes it so well..

    Seriously note now....
I have concluded that I cannot coexist with my dad for a continues period of greater than 48 active hours....
The first 24 hours is largely peaceful..... after that.. little cracks and the odd argument here and there start to appear... by 48 hours.. nearly 40% of all conversation will end in a small argument of some sort leading to a period of "dead air" before one of us makes some random comment and pretend nothing has happened.... after 72 hours.. over 70% of all conversations will be destined for disagreements.

    Mafia__The_Argument_by_Huzafan

The stuff we argue about is SO petit as well! Its just we have such different morals and thoughts... maybe our characters are just to similar.. positives always repel..
In general terms, our relationship has improved and has come a long way since a few years back... we haven't had a major argument in ages.. (major = one of us leaves the house.)
but today was just so crazy. we had so many arguments it not even funny anymore..  we couldn't even sit on the same row of seats on the flight back, 15mins into the flight we got into another argument and dad decide to move 4 rows up to a free seat...
Just now we had another agrement over something really stupid.... but honestly.. I'm not sure how much more of this I can take.. and for once.. I'm truly out of ideas.
dam I miss england so much.

I try so hard. so very hard. and I'm starting to get sick and tired of trying.  I feel like just giving up.

  • Day 2!!!

    Day 2!!!!
^_^ Top Tip/Advice for anyone planning to visit Vietnam! When crossing the streets… don’t run/walk faster as your instinct will drive you to do! Instead, walk in a slow and steady pace, the motorbikes will evade you!... P.S. this doesn’t work for HUGE transport lorries >_<

SO!!! Yesterday I was shocked by the sheer amount of motorbikes in Vietnam!! Well today…. I’m shocked by the sheer numbers of people getting married!!!

    P1010210
Must have seen in excess of 15 couples today!!! >_< some of them are really cute together!! ^_^ oh! Visited a very modern palace today! It was definitely not what I had expected!!! Was still pretty grand and royal though… and it’s the only palace I’ve been too with its own theatre!!! Genius!!! xD
    P1010144

hmm also went across the river to the poorer side of Saigon…

    P1010256

things there were pretty different and rough.... but it was a really good experience! People on that side where generally a lot more friendly! ^_^ meet a lot of cool and cute kids too!!

    P1010284
Anyways didn’t really do much today.. Explored a little again.. and booked a day trip to the Mekong Delta for tomorrow!! (Have to wake up at 6am!! So this blog is going to be short….er…. xD)
hmmm also discovered this awesome bar which I’m in right now…. Proper live band with classic music and singing!! ^_^ the drinks are pretty cheap too! And free wi-fi!! xD it surely put a smile on my dad’s face after the internet “debate” yesterday with the hotel staff ^_^
staying on the topic of discovery.. also (accidentally) discovered this very local viet seafood restaurant!! The good was REALLY good!!! And the waiters where soo enthusiastic!!

    P1010324

Hehe due to the language barrier…. we had a really fun time ordering!! (turns out the stuff we had was not what we had in mind.. but A LOT better!!!)
anyways im sitting in that bar again.. the music is really good!!! will post pictures of it later ^_^

oh!! and today is the First day in a long while where I've had 3 full meals!!! ^_^ feel so fat now!!

hmm final note… I noticed something today… the camera is such a wonderful tool! Not only does it capture moments of your life which will keep with it a vast amount of memories….. but it is also an incredible joy bringer! Whenever I point my camera at random people (expecially kids) they suddenly lighten up and great me with a warm smile or the odd “V” sign! ^^ really does put a warm feeling in your heart….

    Day 1 in viet!!!

NOTE: This was written last night.. didnt realise there was a bar so close untill today!! xD anyways Day 2 atm.. and after spending 8am --> 4pm out adventuring and getting lost.. am now chilling at a bar with free wi-fi!!

Hmmm due to the lack of internet and the fact that the hotel I’m staying at is miles away from anything… I now have nothing to do between 1am and whenever I’m tired enough to sleep. Thus, I’ve decide to do a mini diary about this trip to Vietnam!! Woho!! ^_^

    Day 1
So! 2.45pm flight! and we arrived in the airport at 1pm!! >_< So after finding the departure gate and being told that boarding starts 20mins before takeoff…. We decide to wonder around the airport for some shopping (which sucks… Hong Kong duty free is so crap!) and drinks!! ^_^ anyways after wondering for a good part of 1hour… I started to find the lack of a Starbucks in the airport… disturbing… This sparked us on a hunt for Coffee!!! And just as we were about to give up… we found out that the airport actually does had a Starbucks! Its seriously Soo hidden though.. and should serious have a big red hand pointing to it!! But yaya!! Last cup of green tea latte before leaving Hong Kong!! ^_^
hehe surprisingly enough… I actually had a lot of fun on the plane!!! ^_^ spammed a lot of pictures.. and had a lot of fun doodling on the wall street journal!!

    P1000831
    yay IceCream?! ^_^
hmm so my first impression of Vietnam was actually pretty good! It looks interesting from the plane.. and I really liked the “S” shaped river running through it! Plus!! First thing that happened upon landing.. was that it started to pour!!! ^_^ I really missed the rain!!! And Vietnam was surprisingly cool as well! ^_^ but ya…. 5mins after landing…. And after hearing tales of tourists being scammed+robbed..… I decided to fold my bank notes…

    P1000946

Hehe its actually surprisingly clever and works pretty well ^_^ all credits go to trazy!! xD

even though the rain stopped just as we got to the hotel… this good impression didn’t last long… at first the taxi driver tried to scam my dad… which lend him into a “debate” with him… resulting in the hotel security coming and sorting stuff out!! (in my dad’s favor)
    P1000899

Next… it turns out that the hotel doesn’t have free internet… and they charge USD12/12 hours for the internet… on their website it says “internet and TV services is available” (ah… another case on contract terms and conditions…) anyways this lend my dad off on another much more heated “debate” with the receptionist…senior assistant….
    P1000923
Escalating further and further… good thing is.. we got to go up to the exclusive lounge!!! (cos the debate in the reception was causing too much trouble)

but ya.. after my dad finally gave up.. we went to downtown district 1 of Saigon!! I was shocked at the place!! There are literally NO traffic lights!! And there are around a few thousand motorbikes and cars around u at ALL times!! The everyday of crossing the street is a life or death challenge in Vietnam!!! >_<
    P1000975

must have been scrapped by a motorbike or car at least 10times in one night!! Oh! Not only is the number of motorbikes totally crazy…but so is the people and number of people on them!!! ^_^ though lil kids sitting in the front of a motor bike is just sooo cute!!! :3
     123

(doesnt he look so bored, sick and tired of always having to drive his family around!?!?!? xD)

Anyways dinner was good! Went to what turns out was just a chain restaurant.. but the quality of the food was really above average! The fish was super smooth; there was plenty to eat.. but more importantly.. it was DIRT CHEAP!!! ^_^
     P1010010
wahhhhhhhhh!!! xD (all for 40 hong kong dollars!!! xD)
Anyways.. walked around for a bit after dinner… grabbed a few (local) beers at a bar….
    P1010023

Went to this internet café (which had really slow internet and crappy computers.. couldn’t even get on facebook properly >_<) then headed back to hotel!!!
Anyways it’s like 2.22am now.. and am feeling a little tired…
SO! To sum up first day in Viet…
Viet has reinforced my love for music!! Had R&B playing it 24/7 today… kept me well entertained xD (and hopefully it will block out my dad’s snoring and allow me to sleep tonight!) aside from that Viet is Very busy and dangerous!!! Motorbikes everywhere!! And to add to this, I was told by a friend that there are a lot of unexploded bombs under the roads too… so now I not only have to worry about getting hit by multiple motorbikes.. but also getting my legs blown off!! Yay!! ^_^

    SWINE FLU!!!!! >_<

so! I had a close shave with swine flu once again!!! The summer student who was working in my place before me was stuck down by H1N1 like a week and a bit ago... 3 days ago my boss starting having flu like symptoms and was coughing a lot.... forcing him to leave work early two days in a row... and today! its officially off sick for 5 days due to flu!!! At first I didn't think much of it.. just a lil annoyed cos the two cases I've been plowing through and highlighting all the key points for the past few days are all for nothing! cos boss can has to drop the cases due to sickness >_< then later on.. on of the friendly employees at the came into the room as asked if I want to meet Gary Plowman Q.C!!! basically the most senior barrister in the chambers!! at the point I still had no idea what was going on.. and though it was just a treat cos it was my last day.... but it wasn't >_< hehe turns out he was really worried about my health and the safety of the people in the chambers!! He was actually relatively nice... but the other barrister wasn't! I guess it was his job and he was just being careful.. but the other barrister basically cross examined me on the spot!! firing question after question!! (i guess it was a good first hand experience in the technique of cross examining people.. but trust me.. it wasn't enjoyable) anyways it was concluded that I should go see a private doctor, get check out, and take the rest of the day off >_<
anyways I decided that this was a carppy "last day" at work.. so told the kind receptionist that I'd work again 3rd -> 5th of september when my boss is back from his 5 day quarantine!!! xD
I dunno why.. but right after I left.. I starting really noticing my head ache!! then i noticed i've had a sore throat for the past few days as well!! anyways this left me pretty paranoid.. and feeling pretty sick!! =(
Thinking that I really should get it checked out.. I went looking for a doctor!! unfortunately for me.. I just happened to miss the opening hours an all the doctors have gone to lunch until 4!!!
anyways feeling pretty down.. i decided i needed a good treat... aka ICE CREAM!!! ^_^
but ya!!! having taking a nap... and having a small chat with mommy... i sat down and had a goood think.. and the verdict is... ITS ALL "JUST  PSYCHOLOGIAL!!" I mean my boss doesn't have confirmed swine flu yet!! just flu!!! and my headaches is prob just due to me not getting enough sleep!!! plus!!! my sore throat is clearly from me generally talking too much!!!! xD
I guess this lend me to think and wonder on the power of your mind... think sad.. and your body will react to it!! making you feel even more depressed!! its like a downward spiral!! but thing happy... and you'll feel better again!!!! (works for me anyways!! ^_^)

Hey all!!!! got some free time again today!!! ^_^ (not really but I just really wanted to blog)

SO!! as most of you might already know.. I'm currently working for Gary Plowman's Chambers at Lippo tower!!! ^_^ its pretty awesome!!! and aside from the slightly boring case reading..... anyways tomorrow.... today even is my last day!!! >_< looking back on the past 3 week, I've really learnt experienced and enjoyed it a lot compared to last year!!! cos this year with my basic law knowledge, I actually understand some of the stuff being discussed and said!!! Thanks to all the barristers and people who looked after me during my stay!!! xD
anyways... while remaining on the topic of Lippo tower... you know high classed buildings.. always have perfectly polished sparking clean marble floors right? well... in Lippo tower then have the same floors in the toilets too!!!

    Awesome right?!?!!
    WRONG!!!!
why? because they are reflective!!! >_< seriously you might as well be doing your number 2s in the middle of the toilet!! This has to be one of the biggest fail I've seen in a while... (and it also lend me to accidentally see something I really didn't want to see..... leaving me mentally scarred for life!!! T_T)

hmmmmm what do you call Tony when he comes back to hong kong?!?!?!!?

    DONY!!!!DSC00444
cos he's in the east "don" now!!! ^_^ hehe anyways hope you read this "lan get" and cheer up!!! ^_^

hmmm also saw this really beautiful artwork in pacific place today...DSC00467
its a display on the history of wars and conflicts on earth... (i think) didn't really get the time to take a good look at it yet... but I just find it so cool! btw those read things all over the floor are shoes.... sort of reminds me of that glass box full of shoes of those who died in concentration camps in germany during WW2.....
    MAKE PEACE NOT WAR!!!!

SO! Quite a few of peeps have asked me how I managed to keep my laptop playing music throughout the night and leaving it running for so long without it over heating!!! (hehe ya my laptop is on 24/7... its un-environmental I know >_<)  well... during night time, when i'm just using it to play music, or when i'm out and its downloading/stream stuff... it looks like this!!!

    DSC00465
^_^ Solves all the over heating problems plus!! its make it looks pretty cool too!!! xD

hmm what else.. oh! ya! I take back half of yesterdays post!!! maybe hong kong people aren't that bad after all!!!
so after dinner today... didn't really want to go back home so early.. so ended up listening to music and just riding around on the mtr(train).. (ya its pretty sad I know.. but its actually very relaxing!!) ANYWAYS!! back on topic! at this station, this group of 15ish people came in! with like a few oldies and babies!! xD being the a gentleman.. I ofc gave up my seat to on of the oldies ^_^.... and this started something amazing... THEY TALKED TO ME!!! and it was them who talked to me first!!! ^_^ this was followed by a very interesting conversation with topic ranging from how cute their 2 yr old lil boy looks! (omd!!! he was clinging asleep on his mom like a koala bear whilst sucking his thumb!!! it was SOO CUTE!!!! :3 wubz wubz!!! ^_^), how england life is not actually that bad, summer jobs are impossible to get, secret cooking recipes and how their kid is planning on going to do law too!!! xD it was without doubt the best mtr journey i've had in a while ^_^ really brightened up my day and sent me on my way home!!

After something experienced tonight....Serious note... I, Lincoln Wong, do solemnly swear, that I will learn to control my drink to the best of my efforts and will not grow up to be a drunk.

anyways!!! before writing this... once again eye blindingly long blog.. I spent 30mins sorting out and cleaning(removing website links and stuff) all of my Stevie Hoang songs!!! ^_^ its all neat and tidy!!

    q23123312
man... impossible to see but you get the idea!! xD I actually edited all the properties of the songs.. but thought it would be easier to show on iTunes!!! ^_^
anyways!! thats all for today!!! I need sleep before or I'll be late for my last day at work!!! >_<
